MASSIYA
Massiya means the day of moonless night.
Some Hindus treat it as one of the auspicious days (and some people consider it inauspicious day).
Sikh philosophy rejects the notion of auspiciousness or inauspiciousness of any particular, day, hour or moment.
A few ignorant Sikhs bathe in some specific ‘sarovars’ (tanks of Gurdwaras, which had been built for bathing of the visitors) especially on this day. This is in complete disregard of the injunctions of the Guru.
