JAIKAARAA
Jaikaaraa is combination of ‘jai’ (victory) and ‘kaaraa’ (repeat again and again); it means to repeat chant of and slogan for victory, applause, devotion etc again and again. It can also be regarded as war cry.
In Sikhism, a Jaikaaraa is an amalgam of spiritualism, warming up, optimism and high spirits:
Jo Jaikaaraa bulavay, nihal ho jaavay, Guru de man nun bhavay,
gajj ke bolanaa ji: Akaal! Akaal! Akaal!
Another popular version (probably a product of convenience/history) is:
Bole so nihaal, Sat Sri Akaal.
